Charles Altieri美国加利福利亚大学伯克利分校英语系教授、博士，美国艺术与科学学院院士（American Academy of Arts and Science），主攻20世纪美国诗学，发表论文一百余篇，出版专著10余本。主要有：The Art of Modern American Poetry(Blackwells, 2005),The Particular of Rapture: An Aesthetics of the Affects(Cornell University Press, 2003),Postmodernism Now: Essays on Contemporaneity in the Arts(Penn State University Press, 1998),Painterly Abstraction in Modernist American Poetry: The Contemporaneity of Modernism(Cambridge, 1989),Self and Sensibility in Contemporary American Poetry(Cambridge, 1984), etc. He is now on the Editorial Board ofMLQandContemporary Literature, and the Advisory Board ofEpocheandComparative Literature Studies.
（Charles Altieri is Professor of English at University of California, Berkeley, and member of American Academy of Arts and Science. He is primarily interested in the varieties of twentieth century American poetry, especially in relation to philosophy and to the visual arts. In addition to more than one hundred papers, he has published 10 books.）
